Krista Dickinson Email and Phone Number
Helping others has always been a passion of mine. I started out as an ABA therapist working with autistic children and was later hired on privately to be a daily living skills provider. While attending college I found myself becoming passionate about Psychology, Mental Health, and AODA as each hold a special place in my heart. I was directed by my advisor to obtain a Bachelors in Human Service Management as I was not sure which population I wanted to focus on. I had the opportunity to be part of Rogers Memorial's team starting out as a Patient Care Advocate and worked my way up to a Mental Health Professional. During this time I would work directly with adolescents running group therapy that focused on the 12 Dimensions of Wellness. After a brief period of being a stay at home mom, I was thriving to get back out and make a difference. Since I have been working as a Clinical Addiction Coach at The Manor. Since working at the Manor, I have become a licensed substance abuse counselor in training, co-facilitated groups, re-vamped new employee training, and became actively involved as an alumni coordinator. When it comes to challenging situations with cliental I am your go to person. I have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations allowing all to feel safe and cared for. I have the ability to build rapport with clients quickly and maintain it throughout their stay and after. I have strong time management, communication, organizational, and documentation skills. I am very empathetic, compassionate, and caring which has helped lead me to my success within the field. I am constantly open to reflection within myself to be a better person and strive to learn and grow professionally. I enjoy crossing paths with new people and hearing their stories as well as sharing mine in a way which others can relate.
