Passionate about eradicating the achievement gap through innovative strategies, family engagement, and personalized learning.Background:My journey began as a General Education Teacher with the New York City Department of Education, where I played a pivotal role in spearheading integrated project-based learning for social studies instruction. Over the years, I evolved into leadership roles, such as Senior Director of Early Childhood Instruction at Explore Schools, where I helped re-envision early childhood instruction and shaped the holistic educational experience for over 800 students. Currently, as Senior Director of Language and Literacy at Rocketship Public Schools, I lead the national humanities curriculum and design team where we work closely with our regional and school teams to foster thriving, student-centered learning experiences across our 23 schools.Key Achievements:Orchestrated the adoption of high-quality ELA curriculum (Amplify CKLA) and assessment platform (mCLASS Dibels 8) at Rocketship, leading us to be awarded a 200K grant for our work to adopt a standards aligned, Science of Reading based curriculum.
