I love boats and sailing FAST!I always thought my dream was to have my own little shop one day, surrounded by all my favorite pretty things, and bringing those things to the people. After years of honing my craft and mastering the nuances of the purchasing, retail assortment/demand planning world, I just felt kind of meh. I was feeling disillusioned by the sheer volume of "things" we are producing that head to the landfill shortly after their production. I went boating instead.The catch I was fishing for hooked me when I put my passion for the boating and marine world to work. Boats are as unique as every one of us. No two are exactly the same. That's what roped me in, and keeps me fishing for more. The learning curve was steep, but I climbed it fast.I love working with people. Building relationships, and seeing how they can be mutually beneficial (hello negotiation!). I love solving problems and taking action. I am an analytical, methodical and logical creative who loves design details and well-made things, but also thrive on a good challenge, and using my creativity to find unique solutions.My specialties include quickly learning new skills, and running with them. Planning, merchandising, sales, and it's process, and seeing how little tweaks affect the larger picture. I love the want vs. need debate, and helping to find the right solution. I'm excellent at data analysis, demand planning, strategy and data-driven decision making. Various technical applications including: Adobe applications, Canva, Shopify, Square, Lightspeed, Boats Group platforms, Quickbooks. I'm enthusiastically grabbing onto other platforms, frameworks and principles that I can integrate into my knowledge base.I've taken a break from product-life, but if you think that you're on to something that has a life span longer than a season, and has a sustainability focus, reach out to me!
