Krista Wright M.S., CCC-SLP, Krista received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from New Mexico State University and a Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Redlands. Krista earned her Certificate of Clinical Competences (CCC) from the American Speech- Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a Credentialed California Provider for Clinical and Rehabilitative Services. Krista is professionally licensed by the California State Board with more than 12 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, beginning with 8 years working with school-aged children in the Santa Barbara Unified School District. Her following years in work experience have taken her throughout California and are inclusive of both pediatric & adult populations in a variety of settings including public schools, private practice, home-based early intervention, home health, skilled nursing, hospitals & long-term acute-care, rehabilitation & out-patient facilities. Krista has assessed & treated speech-language clients with communication needs ranging from mild to profound and has experience working with (but not limited to): Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Cleft-Palate, Neurogenic Disorders, Hearing Impairments, Sensory Processing Deficits, Attention Deficit Disorder, Apraxia/Dysarthria, Articulation & Phonological Impairments, Augmentative-Alternative Communication, Fluency Disorders, Social-Pragmatic Deficits, Traumatic Brain Injury, Laryngectomy & Tracheostomy, Aphasia, Dysphagia, Stroke (CVA), and Dementia. Krista also has considerable experience working with Spanish-English bilingual students, clients and their families and has taken special interest towards continued education in the areas of 2nd language acquisition, dual-language intervention, and facilitating multi-lingual communication methods.
