Supervise two employees in our Time Office responsible for payroll and scheduling. Provide consultative HR support to 340+ hourly and salaried refinery employees. Provide policy guidance and interpretation, ensuring consistent application. Conduct personnel investigations regarding inappropriate conduct and policy/procedure violations. Help lead Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives at the site in partnership with corporate DE&I. Serve as co-lead for the site’s Women’s Employee Resource Group and collaborate with other ERGs. Develop and/or facilitate training programs including but not limited to: New Supervisor Training, Diversity/Unconscious Bias, Investigation Skills and Harassment training. Serve as site lead for leadership development, New Leader Orientation, the New Leader Assimilation process, DiSC Assessments and the 360 Multi Rater tool. Engage in recruitment of college, experienced professional/technical and hourly personnel with a focus on improving female and BIPOC representation. Plan, advertise and executing social, engagement and volunteer events for employees. Participate in emergency response activities, media relations, and on call responsibilities. Serve as a subject matter expert on labor and contractual issues. Provide guidance on grievances, payroll and scheduling questions, routine union matters and special issues. Work with the Refinery Leadership Team to develop contract proposals, serve on the negotiating team for contract negotiations and implement contractual changes. Maintain certain reports, perform data analysis, identify trends, make recommendations (separation reasons, performance ratings and deficiencies, training effectiveness).

In conjunction with the organizations I supported (Marketing & Transportation Engineering (M&TE), Marathon Pipeline (MPL), Terminal Transport & Rail (TT&R), Marine, and Health Environmental Safety & Security (HES&S), I identified the necessary and required candidate skills and competencies and utilized various recruiting strategies to fill over 450 vacancies at the collegiate and experienced professional level. This included the evaluation of each organization’s portfolio of schools, performance of intern/co-ops and full-time hiring decisions. I developed outreach activities that attracted talented individuals to the Company, built relationships with key universities and organizations and occasionally utilize third party staffing solutions. I was responsible for managing and delivering on special projects such as the iPad rollout for Talent Acquisition, Employment Branding, and Careers Website Maintenance. I built strong working relationships with my client organizations and within HR and stablished trust and credibility for HR through daily interactions.
