As the Principal Consultant of Northover Ventures I work with both Proponents and Primes on a variety of projects in Canada. I liaise with Indigenous groups and stakeholders to foster inclusion, and maximize opportunities for projects. I bridge the gap between project regulatory needs and on-the-ground relationship building. I work to ensure employment & training and procurement opportunities for Indigenous and local stakeholders are highlighted and implemented, and ensure regulatory targets are met .In my down time, I actively enjoy trail running, ultra-running, mountaineering, hiking, and yoga, and connecting with other mountain individuals for adventures and inspiration!

As the Indigenous Liaison for the Deep Valley North Pipeline Project Season 2, I work with the project team on Indigenous procurement, employment, and am the point of contact for any issues, questions, or concerns. I work with multiple Indigenous groups to ensure they are notified of project information, employment potentials, and on all procurement aspects from RFQs to debriefing.

Monitored and analyzed Alberta, British Columbia, and Federal regulations that pertain to all aspects of the oil and gas industry. Summarized changes and communicated to internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance. Trained all teams and divisions across Nexen to ensure regulatory changes are understood and to work towards full-company compliance at all levels.

Worked with Nexen projects to analyze social responsibility potentials and obstacles and developed policies to guide Nexen operations when dealing with Stakeholders and Aboriginal groups. Assisted in outreach and communication efforts by completing a socio-economic scan of Prince Rupert stakeholders and First Nations for Nexen’s LNG project. Supported stakeholder tracking commitments through designing a stakeholder tracking system needs assessment questionnaire distributed to Nexen global offices. Completed a gap analysis and put forward recommendations for senior management on the adoption of a new tracking system to align business unit actions with Nexen’s corporate goals.

Researched and assessed 140 sustainability metrics of Xerox against top competitors. Analyzed Xerox’ standing in the sustainability field and identified the top green marketing opportunities for Xerox to achieve their economic, social, and ecological sustainability goals.Developed a legislative scan of provincial and federal legislation, policies, and guidelines for the electronics sector. This was used by Xerox in their Western Canada expansion, to ensure adherence to all legislation and avoid costly delays or future assessments for environmental compliance.

Completed MA in Environmental Management, with a focus on stakeholder engagement surrounding water policy, water scarcity, and watershed management.

Assisted the Education department in re-formatting all course materials in english and french.Organized course materials to follow a new two-year format, leading to significant cost savings for students and for CAIRP.

Completed and published ten case studies that included policy analysis, case study evaluation, and state-of-the-art policy research methodologies. Currently being used as “best case examples” by Canadian municipalities participating in a sustainability dialogue program with Community Research Connections.Produced a list of 10 Top Sustainable Cities in 2010, using a variety of sustainability Indexes, including the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Corporate Knights, and the United Nations Sustainability Indexes.

Attended hearings on Capitol Hill, and drafted reports from House and Senate hearings on environment and energy. Maintained excellent professional relationships with government, non-governmental, and corporate agencies.Developed an Oil Sands Advocacy program with the purpose to outreach and educate missions across the United States and foster political support for Oil Sands, and corporate sponsorship. Contributed to organizing meetings, educational forums, and question and answer periods between oil sands representatives and government officials and corporations. Represented Canada’s senior Energy Advisor, David Mueller, at a Summit of the Americas symposium in Washington D.C. Briefed Mr. Mueller prior to his attendance at the Summit of the Americas summit in Lima.Gained an in-depth understanding of the American political system and bilateral Canada-United States environmental relations, including pipeline, energy, and trade issues.

Compliance Analyst with the G8 Research Group at the University of Toronto. I analyzed carbon capture and storage commitments and compliance for Italy and the United States. My analysis was included in interim, and end of year documents that were circulated to G8 governments and interested stakeholders prior to the 2009 summit.

Worked on implementing and promoting new and existing sustainable programs at the University of Toronto.Helped research and document the impacts of the "Rewire" program on University campus. The Rewire program prompts students to change energy consumption behaviours. The initial launch year of Rewire involved one residence and led to substantial energy savings. The second year included more residencies and led to an average energy reduction savings of $4,000 per year/per residency.
