Krista is a thriving grape FarmHer, Winemaker, Entrepreneur and Author. She's living her passion for the "all things wine" business and lifestyle and recently opened her boutique winery in North Texas. After many satisfying years of coaching entrepreneurs, and completing her Associates Degree in Viticulture and Enology in 2015, Krista transitioned to full-time grape farming and winery development in 2017. From time to time she contributes industry related writing to the Texas Wine Lover website. She recently served as a Trustee for Grayson College from 2015 to 2022, and is currently a member of the Advisory Board for the T.V. Munson Enology & Viticulture Center at Grayson College, Secretary of the North Texas Winery Association, and Board Member of the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association. Krista is immersed in her farm, vineyard, winery business development & the wine industry community. In partnership with her husband, Scott Hartman, in late 2015 they purchased a 30 acre farm in rural Grayson County located in the Texoma A.V.A. about 75 minutes north of Dallas. They have planted 4 acres of their planned 8-10 acre vineyard and have re-purposed a small barn to use as their initial permitted wine production space fondly referred to as her Wine Shack. Krista's many talents support her instincts for relationship building, strategic thinking, turning dreams into goals, and then into realities. Her diverse life experiences, pair well with the skills she's honed during her 36-year professional journey succeeding in people focused, collaborative environments.
