I empowered clients with disabilities to plan and achieve their career goals, become employed, and retain meaningful employment. By developing career documents, I prepared clients for employment. In addition, I developed the agency-wide resume writing curriculum for training employees. I also educated clients on job search techniques, interviewing skills, and following up with employers. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:► I strengthened staff capabilities after being selected to develop the agency-wide resume writing training for employees who assist clients with resumes. ✔Curriculum included a PowerPoint presentation, trainer manual, activities, and a participant guide. ✔I delivered the training program at Train-the-Trainer sessions across the state, as well as directly to employees.► Through comprehensive job search education, support, and assistance, I place dozens of disabled clients into rewarding careers each year, meeting all annual goals.

I assisted customers with resume preparation and interviewing skills training and matched skill sets of job seekers to positions listed with Department of Labor and jobs available through other avenues. I created and facilitated workshops to educate job seekers about effective employment search techniques and referred customers to appropriate contacts regarding Equal Opportunity Employment, discrimination, and wage and payment disputes. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:► Led the most successful OASIS program in Georgia for Department of Labor, Vocational Rehabilitation job seekers having disabilities for the fiscal year, placing the most job seekers into employment in the first six weeks of job search activities.► I contributed to marketing efforts targeting employers and customers by producing a PowerPoint presentation designed to market the Career Center services.► By creating a flyer that is still displayed throughout the Career Center today, I informed in-office visitors about the array of Career Center services.► Piloting the development of a PowerPoint presentation for use in TOPPSTEP program workshops for customers on probation or parole, I educated staff on boosting employment for job seekers having criminal histories.
