•Report to President of Division with responsibility for entire Secondary Marketing strategy, including annual asset-backed securitization of approximately $1Billion, forward whole loan sale commitments of approximately $300MM, and analysis of whole loan purchase opportunities. Capital market conditions provided new opportunities for portfolio evaluation including TALF, Straight A Funding ABCP Conduit and Department of Education’s (ED) Participation/Put Programs. New processes were implemented timely and efficiently to utilize the latter resulting in approximately $1Billion in loan sales and $16MM in income recognition in 2009 and 2010.•Liaison with rating agencies, surety providers, and investors for ten outstanding securitized trusts; provided daily support, expertise, and guidance for Investor Reporting team.•Lobbied for and selected as liaison to the Unsecured Creditor’s Committee for a service provider’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy case – provided valuable business/industry knowledge and direction to committee and committee’s professionals alongside bankruptcy attorneys and workout professionals.•Coordinated the wind-down of four secondary market relationships that became unprofitable as market conditions changed and, due to bank funding pressures, assisted with the elimination of the private student loan business channel in 2008 followed by the complete student loan business wind-down in 2010.•Established leadership, strategy and tactical direction for the Division, as part of the senior management team.•Rated at highest performance category and rewarded with all expense paid “Achieve Club” trip two consecutive years. •Reported to Mortgage Group CFO with responsibility for Accounting and Cash Management (Funding) Departments, with the primary goal of improving the operational efficiencies of the departments.•Coordinated the completion of the legal entity merger of the former Huntington Mortgage Company (HMC) into its parent company, The Huntington National Bank, in 75 days.•Utilizing expertise and contacts from previous work experience, established a stand-alone student loan program with the goal of expanding customer product choice and generating fee income.

•Developed, maintained, and monitored third party relationships and mortgage-related product set to ensure proper product mix and investor outlets, utilizing objective and subjective analyses. •Formulated and implemented new process for product development, including enhanced distribution of accountability. Led committees for Senior Management and Operational staff.

•Recognized as HMC “Employee of the Month” for assisting the CFO in structuring the securitization of $750 Million in mortgage loans. Involved in all aspects of the transaction, from loan level analysis of the pool through transaction closing.•Coordinated the implementation and subsequent monitoring of HMC’s Captive Reinsurance structures, including contract negotiations, development of reconciliation process, and management reporting.•Developed/trained staff on the use of reporting tools to assist in the analysis/hedging of the mortgage loan pipeline, utilizing Access databases, Excel spreadsheets, and specialized mortgage applications.

•Managed over $1 Billion in annual student loan sales into the secondary market. Required skills included budget development/variance analysis, contract negotiation/implementation, and the coordination of internal/external third parties.•Completed profitability analyses related to borrower incentive programs, emergency consolidation legislation, and interest rate changes authorized by the Higher Education Act.
