Working to establish a National Initiative focused on creating homeless prevention programs and emergency housing. Our mission is to design more Homeless Prevention Programs and Emergency Shelters for women, children, single parents, and Veteran families. The vision is to begin working with other volunteers interested in helping us create programs and shelters that will serve people in crisis and prevent homelessness across all 50 states within the U.S, including Alaska and the Hawaiian Islands.Over 15 years of expertise managing operations for homeless services programs for outreach, shelter, residential, and medical settings.Previous experience includes serving as Operations Manager for large county Rapid Rehousing and Family Stabilization Divisions, and managing Homeless Outreach Programs for chronically homeless adults with serious mental illness. Facilitated Right to Shelter State funded Homeless Prevention Programs. Work includes oversight of all daily operations of a residential shelter for teenage mothers, and working to design the Motel-Shelter Initiative Project.Proven ability to provide crisis intervention, advocacy, case management services, emergency housing, and referrals.Expertise in domestic violence prevention, emergency shelter services, and safety planning.Specialized training in Workforce Development including developing direct entry agreements with building trade unions for at-risk youth and young adults. Skilled in homeless prevention, low-income utility advocacy, sexual exploitation and human trafficking.Experienced in designing new homeless prevention programs and strategies for non-profits and state agencies that provide more effective care for families and individuals in crisis.
