I am a thirteen year, veteran teacher of the North Carolina public schools system. I have been teaching in Sampson County, NC for twelve years at Midway High School. I am AP certified in U.S. Government and Politics and U.S. History, and will be completing my certification for A.P. Human Geography this summer. I am an executive board member of the North Carolina Council for the Social Studies, Social Studies Department Chair, and a member of the North Carolina Council for the Social Studies. I am passionate about developing and sharing innovative, fun, and rigorous activities for my students and developing quality curriculum for myself and other teachers. I am currently pursuing my Ed.D. degree at Liberty University in Curriculum and Instruction.
