Three Little Birds was founded in 2016 and our mission is tri-fold – 1. We provide immediate and long-term support to families experiencing the loss of a pregnancy and baby through various peer-assisted programs and services. 2. We aid in the education and training of medical professionals so they can best support the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of perinatal loss families. 3. Along with the thousands of other perinatal loss advocates, we work to #shatterthestigma of pregnancy and infant loss globally. Three Little Birds focuses on assisting families experiencing miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal loss, SIDs, infertility, terminal fetal prognosis, and pregnancy after loss. Below is an overview of responsibilities and tasks:- Serves hundreds of families from a professional and personal perspective and professionally manages the majority of Three Little Birds executive functions including our virtual and in-person support, legacy project and grant writing and product development for our Etsy store.- Coordinates requests for support through our Bedside Bereavement Program from hospitals.- Manages daily administrative functions and responds to calls for support, requests for collaboration with other groups, event management and support group facilitation.- Authored several publications including the pregnancy and infant loss journal, "A Nest for my Heart", "As our Nest Grows", a pregnancy after loss book and "Remembering Baby Bird", a support book for siblings.- Authored our Perinatal Bereavement Training Workshop for Medical Professionals and Advocates to educate professionals and advocates to support families bedside.
