I don't fit a mold. I went through our school system, earned my Master's degree, and then taught as a high school teacher. I believe our system is failing us. We are taught that there is a single track that is best - go through school, get good grades, go to college, get a good job working for someone else. We are taught to memorize information, follow the rules, and be a good cooperative citizen. There is no room for creativity, imagination, or creation. We are taught to choose one thing we want to do for the rest of our lives starting at age 17. If we can't decide or change our minds, we are taught something is wrong with us.I believe there is a better way. I believe there is so much more to life.When I left my job as a teacher, I started down a path I had no idea where it would lead me to. Now, I couldn't love my life more. I want to share my experiences with others and help them set up a life that they are deeply in love with. I do this in several ways: 1) I am part of The Sound Alchemy, a group of 3 of us who use over twenty instruments designed to promote deep states of relaxation. 2) I'm Chief of Staff at The Vet Collective, a community of veterans on a mission to become entrepreneurs. 3) I'm CPO at Flintlock Solutions, supporting companies by placing C-Suite and Senior Technical Talent.4) I'm a Nutritionist and Holistic Health Coach at my own company, True You Health, where I help my clients balance their physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, and social well-being.5) Most importantly, I'm a wife and mom. I have the most amazing little family.How did I get here: Instead of doing what I was "supposed to do," I: - Found a teaching job in Hawaii- Quit my Hawaii teaching job & worked at a bar while I figured out my next steps- Met my now husband - I married him 4 months from the day we met- Moved to South Korea with him- Started my own nutrition business- Moved to California- Joined my husband's 1st company, Flintlock Solutions, as CPO- Got introduced to sound healing & joined The Sound Alchemy to share it with others- Had our first baby - Joined my husband's current business, Vet Collective, as Chief of Staff- Currently spend lots of time with our new baby, outdoors, and working helping other people to find their purpose outside of the typical mold.Please reach out if there is anything I can do for you!
