Kristen is a broker with Greyling Insurance Brokerage. She negotiates and places coverage for large design firms and contractors. She works with mid-sized to large clients, many with global exposure and complex insurance programs. She is experienced in the unique coverage needs of both contractors and design firms.Kristen joined Greyling in 2012. Prior to that, she was a Senior Underwriter at Zurich focusing on both project and practice policies for owners, contractors, and designers. Kristen started at Zurich in 2001 and held positions of Actuarial Intern, Actuarial Associate, Referral Underwriter, and Program Manager for the Small Firm Architect & Engineer accounts underwritten by a Managing General Agent. Kristen started her insurance career in 2000 as Actuarial Intern for the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance.Kristen holds the Leadership in Energy and Environmental (LEED) Green Associate designation and is working on her LEED Accredited Professional credential. She is a 2010 graduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta, where she majored in Interior Design with an emphasis in Historic Preservation. She is also a 2002 graduate of Susquehanna University, where she majored in both Mathematics with a minor in Actuarial Science and Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.Kristen is co-chair of the Construction Committee for Habitat for Humanity – Dekalb County. She has participated in HFH-Dekalb since 2010. In 2011, she designed her first Habitat House under the instruction of a local architect and led construction through to completion in 2012. In 2013, she designed her second major remodel and continues to work with homeowners on smaller renovations.

The goal was to design a house that would fit in with the surrounding neighborhood while providing the space and amenities for a modern family. Kristen worked with Historical Concepts, LLC on the design and Classic Renovators, LLC during construction. The house was substantially completed May of 2013.
