I'm a communicator, writer, and story producer with 15 years of international media, communications, and production experience throughout Canada, the US, Asia and Australia. I believe sport and storytelling are powerful drivers for social change. Using my journalism background and interview skills, I've been producing personal stories of how people are recovering emotional and physically. These stories are the most viewed and engaging posts in both groups among hundreds of posts published to date (5000 - 8000 views per post).Key responsibilites: -Content strategy, production, and management via two Facebook groups, DFES Cyclone Seroja Recovery (1000+members) and DFES Wooroloo Bushfire Recovery (700+members) communities, to ensure people affected by both emergencies receive information and access to services to support their mental wellbeing and financial relief. The fourth Invictus Games took place in Sydney, Australia, in October 2018. I was commissioned to develop and execute the storytelling strategy of the Invictus Games Sydney 2018’s Official Book—the first of its kind in the history of The Games. The objective: share the incredible stories of the competitors to inspire national and international audiences, showcase the healing power of sport, and leave a legacy.Key responsibilities:-Developed a storytelling strategy and narrative that led me to Sydney to report and interview 40 people from18 countries in 10 days-Organized, communicated, and collaborated with the creative team in Perth to problem solve and manage timelines and deliverables-Delegated writing, media, and social media tasks, appraised efforts and kept team spirits high to deliver on deadlines-Accessed and conducted interviews with competitors; built trust with many who didn't speak English-Story production and editing; fact checked with PR contacts from 18 nations to ensure editorial integrity and accuracy Key achievements: -Key member in producing the first official book of the Invictus Games - 200 pages in three months (by industry standards often a nine-month process)-Promoted and pre-sold the book using digital channels, which led to the commercial success of the project-Produced and edited 18 stories in three weeks collaborating with and managing writer-Distributed globally; a copy is available from the National Library of AustraliaHere are my favourite stories and experiences. -

Locations included Luang Prabang, Laos; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Bangkok, Thailand; and Perth, Australia.After nearly a year of travel, this role evolved into writing about women in business to uncover new developments related to gender equity, the future of work, and mental health.
