Key successes:• As the first communications officer for a new professional resource at Provincial Health Services Authority, the Office of Virtual Health, counseled executives, directors, managers and other partners in the development of messaging and communications strategies to promote virtual health, and advance the provincial mandate and PHSA goals. Guided development of content for all Office of Virtual Health channels, authored and shared stories of initiatives, innovations and successes on PHSA channels and online Canadian health-care magazines.• Managed creation of online virtual health toolkit for COVID response to help health-care providers across B.C. continue to deliver care safely to their patients and clients; managed updates as audience grew from 300 views/month to over 20,000/views a month. Adapted quickly as scope of my work expanded from PHSA to provincial.• Expanded communications reach for Digital Health Week campaign from previous years from internal audience at PHSA to provincial audience, resulting in roughly 700 per cent increase in webinar attendance. PHSA employee engagement increased by over 55 per cent.• Increased views of Perinatal Services BC newborn care webpage by 30 per cent for Breastfeeding Week 2022• Exceeded goal for Honouring our Babies Toolkit webpage views by 900 per cent for the launch of the refreshed toolkit in March 2023, and exceeded goal for Indigenous Resources page views by 15 per cent• Exceeded social media goals by 20 per cent for launch of Toxic Drug and Health Alerts, text-based alerts to subscribers advising of known toxic drugs in B.C. communities• Advocated successfully for a corporate digital newsletter platform (Mailchimp) to provide users across PHSA access to a high-quality platform to increase efficiencies in workflow and enable the ability to gather measurements of newsletter campaigns
