I've known I had a knack for understanding aesthetics and creating art since I was young— a sentiment acknowledged by collaborators I've worked with in the past who told me I have a natural eye for design. Over time, creative design quickly evolved from a skill to becoming a deep passion of mine! My interests are continuously expanding into the developing field of technology, the human psyche, the wonders of the way people think and function, and recently have been fascinated by the relationship between tech and human behavior applied in the arts.Who am I, you wonder? I'm Kristen Portillo, a current 4th year student in California State University, Fullerton majoring in the Arts with a concentration in Graphic & Interactive Design and a minor in Marketing. I navigate through life guided by my principles of growth, gratitude, and purpose which have led me to my current roles where I foster my skills with much passion: a Co-Founder, Executive Director, and Web-Design Lead for the designathon FullyBeyond, a Design Lead for the hackathon FullyHacks, a graphic designer for CSUF's news outlet The Daily Titan, an aspiring entrepreneur, and a full-time student. In my career journey, I aspire to focus on creating aesthetically pleasing, human-centered designs with efficient UI/UX to provide user-ability across a diverse audience. I take joy in creating designs that not only look pleasant to the eye, but is also effortlessly navigable for the users!I'm excited to connect!🌟 Outside of work you can find me discovering new cafes, catching up with friends, traveling locally, and learning hobbies (dancing, language, the arts) 🌟
