I have created new programming, presented STEM and NGSS aligned programs, built up volunteer base, trained employees, managed environmental programming for small non-profit, increased school participation in our programs through relationship-building and networking, maintained grantor base while actively seeking new grant opportunities, increased the sustainability of our educational programming by incorporating digital platforms, organized and staffed community events, interacted with local media to ensure coverage of educational events.I value education, environmentalism, sustainability, creativity, organization, positive attitudes, thinking on your feet and community. I am passionate about providing free educational programs to kids of all ages and abilities. I also love movies, music, history and travel.I am able to effectively communicate with a large team of 100+, I am able to plan and budget for large scale events, I am able to quickly resolve a problem while minimizing negative outcomes, I am able to delegate to ensure all the work gets done on time and correctly, I can see potential in others and use my mentoring skills to bring those abilities to light.I have been able to increase the number of schools and students that receive educational programming through our small non-profit through consistent outreach and communication. I maintain a comprehensive list of contacts in our non-profit's service area; through networking and word of mouth communication, I have built that list up by almost double than what it was when I began. I am passionate about equity in education, and I enjoy working in a non-profit setting where I can bring programming to those underserved in our local community. In this setting I can bring fun and engaging projects to any student due to vigilant grant sourcing. I have a certificate in grant writing and have brought in sustainable program funding from community partnership grants, private foundations and in-kind donations. Grantors are often inspired to join us as volunteers which further increases the value as this saves the non-profit money on paid staff time.
