Scale Collaborative offers theDock as a ‘flexible office’ for many impact entrepreneurs working towards social, environmental or cultural impact. The Dock provides social entrepreneurs and impact-driven organizations and enterprises creative options for flexible space and is located in Victoria, BC downtown core. You get access to workstations, offices, event and meeting spaces, and spent your workday amongst other socially-like minded people dedicated to environmental, social and cultural paths forward. www.thedockvictoria.com

Scale Collaborative began having conversations in 2014 on how to showcase, inspire, and support social enterprises across Vancouver Island. seCatalyst was born and is a cross sector collaboration to bring high impact events, days of learning, and opportunities for impact and money to connect. seCatalyst partnership combines over 20+ social purpose organizations, financial institutions, post secondary education institutions and intermediaries that come together to raise awareness, build capacity and support social enterprise on Vancouver Island. www.secatalyst.ca

Guided 70+ staff and Board of Directors through a significant change process, which resulted in:-An evolved organizational culture into an innovative, blended value non-profit enterprise with high impact, both from a community and city wide perspective; -A new financial model which flipped the operational budget from 75% grant dependency to 75% sustainable, self generated, diversified revenue streams; -50% growth to the operational budget;-Community real estate purchase which increased the neighbourhood assets by $700,000; -Deepen city wide engagement, programs increase from 10 to 60 per semester, addition of local events, and a summer long Farmer's Market; and-Creation of a social enterprise – Little Acorn Daycare to provide high quality early childhood care for 60+ children in the neighbourhood. Highlights of this 4 year old social enterprise include: *Utilized as a teaching forum to next generation of ECE Leaders; *Work experience partnership with Garth Homer Society; *95% self funded; and *Increased neighbourhood employment with 7 full time jobs, various part time and seasonal positions.

-Co-created Vision Vancouver’s annual financial objectives; -Created organizational pipelines to increase membership and to connect members easily and directly to Mayor, City Councillors, School Board Trustees, and Park Board Commissioners;-Led coordination on financial deliverables, including the additional funds necessary for the 2008 election;-Project managed Vision Vancouver events (2006 – 2009), from idea to inception, including community events, policy forums, gala celebrations; -High level stakeholder engagement; and-Volunteer management

Convergence Strategies and Communications is a consulting firm focused on social change in the non-for-profit, political and philanthropic sectors.Services provided included:-Research and analysis for both local and global conservation projects; -Identification of capital investment opportunities for social change projects; and-Management of events; media; stakeholder engagement.
