The Director of College Counseling and Alumni Programs(DCC) offers an opportunity to be on the cutting edge of an exciting reform movement in Houston. The DCC supports students in the college matriculation process during their high school years and alumni support initiatives throughout their college years, culminating with their college graduation. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES• Supervises all College Counselors to coordinate and facilitate college guidance for high school students, ensuring 100% college acceptance• Provides differentiated coaching for College Counselors and Seminar Teachers on college counseling team• Performs duties as member of campus administration related to student safety and grade level programming• Plans and implements events and interventions for YES Prep Alumni• Researches, establishes and maintains long-term relationships with over IMPACT College Partners, Success Team Colleges• Directly advises and counsels juniors and seniors with all aspects of the college admissions process• Coordinates a variety of events related to college access and opportunity, including: college visits, financial aid nights, and national spring college tours
