Experienced data analyst and Julia developer. Lead and co-developer of several open-source softwares for nonlinear dynamics in the JuliaDynamics organisation (e.g. CausalityTools.jl, ComplexityMeasures.jl, TimeseriesSurrogates.jl)I have a strong geology and geochemistry background, which later transitioned into the realm of statistics, data analysis and programming. While working on my PhD and postdoc at the Department of Earth Science (University of Bergen, Norway), I've researched and developed algorithms for quantifying causal relationships from observed data. In the process, I've also familiarised myself with a vast quantity of numerical analysis methods for complex systems analysis through developing and using open-source software for these methods. I have also dedicated significant time to the organisational changes related to curriculum design at the iEarth Center for Integrated Earth Science Education. Here, I've also developed software for modern curriculum design which is currently in use at the University of Bergen for curriculum planning and analysis, using a full-stack solution involving graph databases, GraphQl and the Flutter app framework. I also have a strong background in both teaching and developing course material for introductory geoscience courses, focusing on data analysis, programming and real-world problem solving.I've participated in numerous scientific cruises involving ROV operations, bathymetry and subsurface data collection, sampling of rocks and biological materials, as well as processing and analysis of such data.
