I have taught U.S History 1, U.S. History 2, and AP United States History at Columbia High School for the past 10 years. Beyond teaching US History, I have served as advisor to Junior Statesmen of America, CHS's Debate Club, and the CHS Quiz Bowl team. I am currently co-chairing a 3 year School Climate Transformation Project which partners the school with Rutgers University and aims to improve staff-administration, staff-staff, and staff-student relationships in the building. During the summer, I work at Harbor Haven, a camp for children aged 3-18 with mild to moderate special needs. I currently serve as Assistant Director and have been there for 11 years. I hold a BA in History with a minor in Psychology and Education, a M.Ed. in Social Studies Education K-12, and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. In the next few years, I hope to work in an administrative role in a school to put my passion for teaching and learning to further use.
