As VP of Media Relations I assist clients on a day to day basis with:- Managing social media campaigns to create brand awareness and drive traffic and sales.- Developing and maintaining relationships with members of the press covering government IT.- Executing events and webinars for public sector managers on a broad range of mission critical topics such as improper payments, cybersecurity, diversity and inclusion, veteran hiring initiatives and other Administration imperatives.- Managing press outreach, attendee and speaker recruitment, and social media marketing for FedInsider webinars and events.

- Managed integrated marketing and public relations efforts for the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Department at Medicorp Health System’s Mary Washington Hospital.

- Managed and executed public relations programs for high-technology clients, such as IBM, Symbol Technologies (now Zebra), and FINEOS Corporation. Areas of focus included wireless, mobile computing and scanning technology, software, retail, education, healthcare, travel, insurance, transportation and logistics, and warehousing and manufacturing.- Managed all public relations activities for Symbol Technologies, a worldwide mobile data transaction solution provider with an annual budget of $750,000, including all facets of media and analyst relations, customer reference program, trade shows and media tours, speaking opportunities, product announcements and overall corporate strategy and messaging.- Collaborated with the IBM Global Business Partners team on media relations including business partner/customer references, press conferences, announcements and proactive pitching to target press.

- Spearheaded public relations initiatives, including media relations, events, new product, partner and customer announcements and corporate promotions such as sports celebrity appearances and the “Wireless to Broadway” Sweepstakes executed in conjunction with the Broadway musical RENT.- Managed internal communications activities.- Designed marketing collateral including brochures, press kits and newspaper advertisements.
