I am an energetic, creative, bilingual and highly-relational professional with an eclectic background as an educator, educational designer, trainer, national-award-winning journalist, and artist. I have worked throughout North America and Europe with school districts, non-profits, theatre companies, and service organizations. As a teacher I have the distinction of having worked with every age from toddlers to the elderly. I bring a repertoire of cross-disciplinary skills and insights:1. Every organization needs an educational designer. Being a content expert is a separate skill from knowing how to communicate and engage people with that content, effectively training both employees and users. I am in my element when breaking down and organizing complex ideas, information and procedures in logical, practical, engaging and fun ways to maximize implementation and impact. 2. School districts, corporations and non-profits all need to manage change, moving employees and clients into what's next and what's new. I have extensive experience coaching, and building curriculum and trainings to navigate groups and individuals of all ages through change in ways that allow them to connect to their own resourcefulness, to feel a sense of agency and choice, to have a chance to contribute, and to tackle the learning in manageable chunks with regular guided practice. 3. Well-functioning teams are essential to success. I have had the privilege of recruiting, training, and managing teams at each stop along my career path and I provide hands-on, empowering, unifying leadership. Organizations that intentionally strive for and create synchronicity, not only in their operations but also in their culture, are the most successful. I bring people together through vision casting, strong communication, and problem solving with humor. I am passionate about creating healthy and holistic learning, working, and living environments.
