Selected for this position based on recommendations from previous Treasurer and the CFO. Partnering with executive management to create long term corporate and financial strategies and implementing operating cost reductions. Served an integral role in the Mergers and Acquisitions and divestitures, including the acquisition of Allegiance Telecom and the divestiture of XO Communications • Directs Cash & Investment Management, Debt Issuance and Covenant Compliance, Cash Forecasting and Planning, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Payroll and Risk Management as well oversees the administration of employee benefit plans, including a $100+ million defined benefit (401(k)) plan and previously the employee stock option plan. Developed stringent internal control infrastructure and established all accounting policies to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley. Presents periodic results to executive management, the Audit Committee as well as to the Board of Directors. • Oversees a $100m Real Estate Portfolio; responsible for the direction, design, implementation and execution of the company wide Real Estate Portfolio strategy to drive costs down, accountability for financial performance across the portfolio.
