Provide pedagogical and instructional design consultation and support to faculty and academic program personnel to plan and improve instructional delivery with technology, including analysis of faculty and program needs, instructional materials design and production, and course building.

Founder of the Online Education Solutions consulting group to help colleges and universities empower, train, and develop faculty and staff to create, build, and deliver quality academic online courses. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructional designers (IDs) to develop an engaging and authentic online learning environment. Using the Universal Design Method create and build student-centered, accessible, innovative, dynamic, and inviting courses/curriculum focused on assessing student learning. Other consulting services include course/program assessment, creating online course templates, processes, and procedures. Provide training and development for online teaching, administration, and leadership.

In this role, I provide training, resources, and support to instructors of online and extended learning offerings to ensure faculty engagement, effectiveness, and satisfaction. In accordance with University (and department) guidelines and standards, I oversee the collection of instructor engagement data from a variety of sources (including LMS data, student feedback, and peer-review results), perform analyses and disseminate as appropriate to support and maximize instructor and student success. I provide leadership in ensuring student success and retention in online and extended programs, and I design and oversee the implementation of systems and structures for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of student feedback for the purposes of student retention and course design improvement.

As the Director of Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning (CITL), I was responsible for facilitating online and on-ground faculty professional development in support of the academic program delivery for undergraduate and graduate degree programs. I served as the central architect, facilitator, implementer, and evaluator of TU's faculty orientation, onboarding, training, in-service, Online Teaching Course, and professional development opportunities within the CITL.

Developed graduate student recruiting and retention strategies, automated communication plans, enrollment and revenue projections, and marketing materials. Created personalized print on demand pieces to reduce inventory and mailing expenses while providing up to date customized information for prospective graduate students. Increased graduate student enrollment by 206% from 369 students in the Fall semester 2005 to 1129 students in the Spring Semester 2012 utilizing innovative recruiting and retention strategies. Implemented CPL (Cost Per Lead) marketing strategies to generate additional leads, target specific markets, and increased the quality of leads. Collaborated with web committee to rebrand the university’s website, logo, and slogan. Updated web content and prepared the University Social Media Communication Plan. HLC self-study committee participant; prepare for University reaccreditation. Partnered with the student committee for the new Student Information System (SIS) implementation.

Designed 34 educational programs for undergraduate students including workshops, seminars, and activities related to personal and professional development as well as service learning involvement projects. Managed the Tiffin University Co-Curricular Program. Developed and maintained relationships with internal and external constituencies to facilitate undergraduate student placement in internship programs. Taught two 15 week semester Freshmen Seminar courses to new traditional freshmen students and adult students. Created and updated user-friendly office internet and intranet pages using FrontPage software.

Implemented new recruiting and marketing strategies to generate additional leads for the office. Increased inquiry volume by 329% from Spring Semester 2002 to Spring Semester 2004 by developing media and communication plans. Increased adult student enrollment by 31% from 119 students in the Fall 2002 Semester to 156 students in Spring 2004 Semester through new procedures for the admissions process, new techniques for advising students, and office reorganization. Taught three Freshmen Seminar Courses survival skills for adult students transitioning to college for the first time in their academic career. Developed and maintained relations with internal and external student and academic affairs offices to facilitate communications and ensure optimal programs for adult and transfer students. Developed strategies for admission and retention of undergraduate students to meet university enrollment goals. Evaluated prospective student college transcripts to award Tiffin University academic credit and designed degree completion plans.

Recruited and advised 256 new and current adult and transfer students.Developed recruiting strategies targeted to the adult and transfer student markets. Managed 21 401 (k) and Profit Sharing Company plans with account balances of over $2.5 million. Prepared IRS testing requirements, 5500 tax forms and plan amendments. Organized client enrollment meetings to explain benefits of a retirement plan and discussed mutual fund investment choices.
