During the English Immersion program with Quindio Bilingue, I designed interactive lessons incorporating theory and authentic materials into practice. The program was designed to empower Public School Teachers in Quindio to use dynamic activities, authentic materials, and base their teaching practices on theories of language learning. I evaluated and gave feedback on microteaching lessons given by the teachers. I encouraged the teachers to reflect and be critical of their lessons and use dynamic activities. We had committees such as spelling bee, music and song festival, family day, and speech and debate that we helped the teachers to organize and execute. This was a great way for teachers to use English and gain practical skills and strategies to use in their classrooms.
