As an EHS Family Educator, I ran and maintained the program by monitoring and fostering children's development through home visits and bi-weekly socializations for families.

As a Americorp Technician, I manage and run STAR tutoring program (reading tutoring program designed for struggling readers) and the mentoring reading program. For both of these programs, I find volunteers in the community to read with and tutor children. I also volunteer at a non-profit throughout the year. Every month, I input data for STAR tutoring and the mentor reading program. I attend monthly study groups with other Americorp members in the surrounding areas where we discuss required reading and issues that has come up in our schools or students within the past month. I also attend required training and supervisor visits every month.

· As a key holder from February 2015 to August 2016, I have gained a variety of extensive skills. I have experience in opening and closing the store, maintaining correct procedures with money, ensuring that fellow employees stay on task and producing a welcoming environment for customers. Tag’s Thrift is partnered with the non-profit, Choice Humanitarian which educated me on how the organization thrives through community donations and awareness. This job has taught me many valuable things including managing a store setting, creating an employee work schedule, teaching others the importance of non-profits, and learning how to gently guide others in the right direction in order to appropriately help them.

As a nanny, I cared for three children. Rowan (age 2), Cutler (age 3), and Fisher (age 5). I was expected to maintain a clean environment, prepare and clean up meals for the children and plan engaging activities for them. This job help gives me experience in working with children and managing difficult situations when caring for multiple children.

At this job, I cared for a two month old baby named Asa and a five year old named Charly. I was expected to keep the house in order, feed both children, keep them both entertained and to keep Asa on a strict schedule. This job helped me learn to balance my responsibilities and prioritize because I had to simultaneously care for an infant while keeping another child constantly entertained.

During this job, I took care of three children (now four, when I occasionally nanny for them). I was expected to keep the house clean, prepare and clean up meals for the children and look out for their safety while supervising their activities. From this job, I learned a lot about negotiation and diffusing fights between siblings. This will come in handy when thinking about my future career because I will be expected to do this in the future.
