Leadership for AmeriCorps Program that deploys AmeriCorps members in health and education related community agencies to augment the agency’s ability to provide enrichment and screenings for low-income children and families. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the program and responsible for, member relations (including recruitment, training, and evaluation), partnerships with community sites, and the management and reporting of program measures. Support the development of proposals and monitoring compliance with funder requirements. The AmeriCorps Director oversees the Associate Director. Ready to Learn Providence recruits AmeriCorps members from the community who are primarily un/underemployed, native Spanish speakers and re-entering the workforce. Supervision of the members include supporting the members’ goals related to access to GED/HS Diploma/ESOL leading to continuing education and expanded career opportunities.

Hosted by the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Coordinated two large National Service awards. Recruited and coordinated programs for 110 full and minimum time AmeriCorps volunteers annually. Diverse college students participated in Scholarships for Service and engaged in community service and civic engagement activities. Assisted Executive Director with overall leadership for agency charged with supporting the needs of 12 Institutions of Higher Education in Rhode Island in meeting their public service goals, through convening, advocacy, programming and resource development.

RI Campus Compact AmeriCorps*VISTA focus on building capacity that supports initiatives and programs to promote Community Service, Civic Engagement and Service Learning. VISTA Leaders support VISTA members on their journey of professional and personal growth while challenging them to create sustainable programming in a one-year time frame.

Hosted by Feinstein Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement at Roger Williams University (RWU). Supported campus-wide community service efforts and campus-community collaborations as a Full-time National Service volunteer. Helped to engage college students in volunteerism and National service. Supported the implementation of a freshman orientation service project for 900 students and faculty and in providing ongoing communication with community partners in providing dynamic service opportunities for RWU students and faculty-engaged scholarship (sustained community engagement).

Responsible for coordination of the State of Florida's Universal Pre Kindergarten Program in Miami-Dade County. During the 2005-2006 inaugural year a target goal for student participation in Miami-Dade's Voluntary Universal Pre Kindergarten Program (VPK) was set at 24,000 four-year olds.

Responsible for the development of the Miami Children's Museum Early Childhood Center and the implementation of Early Childhood Initiatives for newly opened museum.
