I have been assigned many duties at the IRS, including but not limited to:Course Director: I instruct multiple courses for IRS employees across the country. I also develop courses by writing lesson plans and creating PowerPoint presentations, knowledge checks and breakout activities. Additionally, I provide change management training to components across the IRS.Communications Manager: I send communications on behalf of the School of Human Resources to a variety of audiences, including employees, managers and executives. I announce new training opportunities, track hundreds of responses and answer questions timely.Community of Practice Manager: I host bi-monthly meetings for over 100 Community of Practice members. I provide presentations on topics such as unconscious bias, change management, work-life balance, teamwork and collaboration, stress management and more.

After spending 7 years in operations management, I was selected for this developmental position where I was able to enter the field of Human Resources. I received an individual training plan, on the job training and formal training courses.

I managed the office’s training programs for customer service representatives and claims specialists. I implemented mandatory monthly meetings between managers, mentors and trainees, as well as a productivity requirement for trainees.

I was the first line supervisor for 8 Assistant Module Managers, and the second line supervisor for over 100 new hire trainees. I was responsible for all customer service representative, benefit authorizer, claims specialist, debtor contact representative, debt specialist, and claims technical expert training. I reviewed qualitative and quantitative statistical data to make decisions on employee retention, and I requested additional human capital resources to meet workload demands. I conducted briefings with executives, and regularly met with the Labor and Employee Relations Staff and attorneys from the Office of the General Counsel. During the COVID-19 pandemic I was responsible for converting all in-person classes to Skype, and was able to get over 100 in-office employees teleworking within 3 days.
