I am responsible for the overall management of the Collections Department, including the maintenance and preservation of over 100,000 collections objects, all archival materials, and resource library. Some of my duties include: - Providing specialized care and routine maintenance for collection objects and artifacts- Monitoring environmental and light conditions in collections storage and exhibit spaces- Maintaining and updating all Collections records- Creating new Collections Management policies and procedures for staff, interns, and volunteers- Assisting in the creation, design, and implementation of exhibits- Serving as Project Manager in creating 7,000 square feet of new exhibits to augment the Smithsonian’s traveling exhibit Destination Moon in 2018 *The exhibit augmentation won the 2018 Spirit of St. Louis Award for Best Program from the Saint Louis Attractions Association- Conducting tours of Collections for staff and the public- Directing Collections intern and volunteer projects

Smithsonian Fellowship appointment with the Smithsonian Affiliations Visiting Professional Program. Completed a program on "Developing Engaging Visible Collections Storage Displays" by engaging with Smithsonian colleagues at more than six Smithsonian institutions to study how different approaches to visible collection storage spaces with the goal of developing and implementing a space at the Saint Louis Science Center.
