After spending 15 years in the engineering arena I moved into the IT department as a natural stepping stone from the implementation of a new ERP system. From that point forward my focus has been on business process improvements, implementation and modification of existing implemented ERP systems. Even as an IT Manager the majority of my focus lies in this area. It has been my experience that the stepping stone between a well-defined and implemented ERP system and connection to the real world manufacturing process has many stumbling blocks.
