HMM introduced me to the world of designing/engineering oil & gas pipelines. Through great leadership & mentorship, I gained experience in pipeline design, route selection, class determination studies, horizontal directional drill designs, facility layouts/design, material specification & procurement, environmental permitting, cost estimation, coordination with stakeholders, and business development. In 2014, I relocated to the Denver area to start up the pipelines group in the Lakewood, CO office, which grew to a staff of 6 people in the first year.

* Conducted forensic investigations of residential structures to determine the extent of structural damage caused by possible foundation settlement or wind* Spearheaded CRA’s Sustainability Initiative in the Houston office, and coordinated with international offices to create various presentations, white papers, and contract bids relating to green remediation and sustainable design* Developed greenhouse gas accounting, reporting, and reduction services to assist oil and gas clients in complying with the recent greenhouse gas regulations* Managed environmental and geotechnical projects, designed various remediation systems, and organized/conducted field events, including drilling and multimedia sampling* Assessed results of laboratory analyses of non-aqueous phase liquids to differentiate various hydrocarbon contaminants from intermingled plumes in the subsurface

Created three-dimensional subsurface models from compiled borehole data; gained a basic understanding of mine design/phasing, and of the aggregate business

* Participated in field events including groundwater sampling and drilling oversight to facilitate project needs at the 49,000 acre former Naval Ammunition Depot Superfund Site* Collaborated with a small group with the goal of designing a pipeline system linking fourteen wells to pump contaminated groundwater to a remediation center
