I was hired on at Market Wines into a management position in anticipation of the third location opening . I trained underneath the manager of another location while working through the NSO checklist of not only a new store, but a new build. We opened the doors of the newest location in August 2022.In January 2023, I took over the management of a second location and managed both the Greenbriar (West) and our University District location until October of 2023 when the new manager in training for West completed takeover. From January 2024 - March 2024 I assisted at head office in a purchasing role prior to maternity leave.Some of my duties include: on-boarding, inventory management, customer relations, ordering of wine, beer, spirits and RTD’s, assisting with event planning and management of festivals and corporate events.Programs I work with: Humanity (employee/schedule management/payroll) & Profitek (POS)

Multi-unit management as of June 2018 with NSO experience. Managing multiple locations and teams has given me experience in these areas: P&L Review, landlord/tenant relationship building, vendor management, marketing, scheduling teams of 5-15, wine program management and training, onboarding: interviewing/hiring/training, assist in booking travel for my team on annual corporate wine retreats.Programs I have become familiar with are: GoWebinar - conferences, CTUIT - restaurant management data tracking, LogMeIn - Remote IT access, Squirrel - POS system, PlateIQ for invoice processing, Certify - expense processing, Gmail/Outlook, Google hang and Skype.In my first 3 years at Vino Volo, I had the privilege of visiting wine regions throughout the West coast of America (Sonoma, California and Washington State) during different periods of the growing season (bud break and harvest) for hands on experience and training in vineyards, crush pads, tasting rooms etc.

In my tenure with Vino Volo I took charge of employee scheduling, spear headed monthly inventory counts for wine including data entry in the CTUIT program and PlateIQ integration, created tasting cards for our wine flights and bottle list, administered monthly wine exams for the staff, assisted in the training of new hires and in disciplinary actions. As of March 2017 I had also taken on the Marketing Liaison duties for our location. This included operating a social media platform (Instagram), monthly conference calls, continuing to foster our companies core value of cultivating community and decorating the store seasonally while including loyalty program information. My knowledge of varietals, growing conditions, wine making, old/new world regions and wine in general grew extensively during this time frame. This was largely due to an intense internal training program. Using the wine flight concept to educate the public in an airport setting has definitely been the most rewarding part of this job. I love wine, am an aviation enthusiast and an avid-people watcher, so finding a work environment with a culmination of all three has definitely been an added bonus for me.

I worked here as a part-time beverage specialist & sommelier in the Opal dining room at Azuridge Estate Hotel in Priddis, Alberta. The opportunity to work with and be mentored under the Beverage Director was a privildge. Working at Azuridge highlighted the differences encountered when working in the food and beverage industry and also in a travel and tourism sector. The experience of submerging myself in an environment with top of the line spirits, wine, beer and sake as well as creating specialty cocktails tailored to each individual guest and their experience helped to build a strong foundation for my wine knowledge, passion and customer service skills. Programs I became familiar with: Open Table & Savant Smart Home Automation system. When tasked with creating a personal motto that aligns with the company beginning with "I care to dare to", I created the motto "I care to dare to splurge on champagne", perfectly displaying my love for the finer things and ability to have fun.

Over my six year tenure at McIntosh Lalani Engineering Ltd. I had many responsibilities. I learned to multitask very efficiently as it was a necessity working with a growing company in such a fast paced environment. Some of my duties and roles included: Dispatching technicians, developing and maintaining an excellent rapport with clients, data entry of geotechnical and field reports, Microsoft application use (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook), record keeping, maintaining files, daily switchboard use, navigating through our customized program "Breaktest" and participated in feedback for future coding. During the hiring process, I assisted in administering entry level interviews, setting up training files and completing training with new staff.

I had numerous promotions in my time at Chili's Texas Grill. I held host, expo, runner, server, lounge and bartending positions over two locations during the year and a half that I was employed here. This acclimated me to shift work and grew my capability to pick up new tasks quickly. I have the aptitude to multitask efficiently and an exceptional ability to develop a high quality rapport in a short period of time with customers or clients.
