Highly motivated conservation-ecologist and consultant, former employee of a state wildlife agency. While employed as a communications & outreach specialist I initiated, developed and launched an integrated, multi-faceted social media marketing campaign that propelled awareness of the Georgia Wildlife Resources Program to national status.I documented nongame conservation research & projects done by our wildlife biologists in the form of web content, public education materials and presentations, informational videos, photographs and news stories. I designed and implemented the State and the Division's social media program, considered a blue-print for both other states and even some federal organizations. Conservation Ecologist (MA '13) & Non-profit Specialist/wildlife concentration (MA '12), I work as a social media consultant primarily specializing in ecological conservation. I am certified in Environmental Ethics, Univ. Teaching & Prescribed Fire. I remain active as a regular volunteer for events such as River's Alive primarily as a project leader. I worked as a graduate assistant at UGA for eight semesters, teaching biology, marine science and ecology earning excellent reviews and an award for best teacher. I served as a mentor to three students and as a result of my teaching experience assisted one to a job with NOAA. I took part in Project FOCUS teaching science to 3rd graders. I really enjoy working with & feeling like I can reach young people and can only hope to continue to teach or work in some sort of environmental outreach/communications program.
