Ms. Schaan has over 15 years of experience in population health across a variety of settings. As a consultant and educator, her areas of emphasis include aging, health and social services policy, health promotion and behavior change, market research as well as education and strategy development. Ms. Schaan has considerable experience developing and executing strategies with a variety of organizations and stakeholders, ranging from non-profits to corporates to social service agencies. As an experienced mystery shopper, she has made visits to and developed competitor assessments for over 400 senior care organizations across the U.S. During her tenure in Southeast Asia she worked alongside the CEO and co-founders of two startups. In this capacity, she successfully scaled the startups resulting in expanded brand presence and considerable growth in program beneficiaries. She developed new service lines and executed innovative programs to better serve the needs of the aging populations as well as caregivers. Ms. Schaan has extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of social determinants of health, aging and longevity as well as grant writing and program development. She has served as a consultant for a range of healthcare providers including hospitals and health systems, government agencies, non-profit providers, medical house call practices, palliative care and post-acute providers. Ms. Schaan has assisted and guided clients through a number of projects encompassing strategy development, value-based payment education, market and demand assessment, strategic planning, and board of directors’ education. Her expertise has extended into the workplace as she has facilitated dozens of wellness workshops for corporate stakeholders as well as one-on-one coaching for executives and mid-level managers. As a passionate wellness advocate and gifted presenter, Ms. Schaan supports her clients by helping them put knowledge into action. She holds her master’s degree in gerontology and B.S. in health care administration. Ms. Schaan is a credentialed professional gerontologist and licensed nursing home administrator.
