Leaders in the financial industry often face a lot of pressure and have a significant weight of responsibility on their shoulders. Having led finance teams for over 25 years, I have experienced these challenges firsthand - and as a leadership coach, I’ve found that they are definitely not unique to the finance industry. I became a Certified Leadership Coach in 2020, a time when many leaders were dealing with their own struggles due to the pandemic and leading teams of people that were all struggling in their own ways. It wasn’t an easy time to begin coaching, but it showed me how coaching can provide a safe space for leaders and provide essential support for their well-being.It was these circumstances, as well as my own experiences of dealing with loss as a leader, that led me to focus on supporting leaders to lead through grief. I’ve been a Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist for over a decade, and I use this experience to coach leaders who have been bereaved - and those who haven’t.
