Kristine Arnold has enjoyed the lifestyle in Outback Queensland for the last 21 years as an educator and innovation and entrepreneur advocate at Central West Qld Remote Area Planning and Development Board [RAPAD].Joining the RAPAD team in 2008 Kristine was tasked with increasing vocational education training in the region. She scoped the viability of, established (2010) and managed the organisations Registered Training Organisation, RAPAD Skilling [#32295] through until February 2018.With RAPAD’s growth, and an increasing focus on regional innovation, digital technology and entrepreneurship, Kristine moved across to manage RAPAD’s operations and the innovation programs. She is passionate about offering opportunities to others, co-leading the regional innovation initiatives. Through this, Kristine travelled to Denver, San Francisco and Silicon Valley with 10 other regional delegates as part of an Advance Qld regional innovation ecosystem leaders mission. She has participated in and organised Techstars Startup Weekends, facilitated entrepreneurial start-up programs and been a co-founding Director of a start-up. With RAPAD identifing the potential to grow the UAV industry in Central West Qld, Kristine lead the launch of ‘Outback Aerodrone’, RAPAD’s vision of a Centre of Excellence positioning CWQ to be THE location to host safe drone testing for national and global companies, including BVLOS and the Outback Aerodrone Symposiums 2017-19. Kristine has been heavily involved in junior sports committees and team management, although with adult children she now enjoys a more relaxed time off with family, although is often seen Sherpa-ing at Ironman triathlon events.
