The Leaders of Tomorrow program connects students to the community and is based on the 4 pillars of Mentorship, Networking, Leadership, and Volunteerism. As a LOT mentee and member of the Events Committee, I am responsible for organizing and activating LOT events throughout the year (in addition to hosting, emceeing, photographing, script writing, and reporting). I take every possible opportunity to attend business seminars and development nights to network and build relationships.

It has been the best part of my summers. Responsible for all marketing administrative duties & management of seasonal staff. Developed systems and procedures to enhance efficiency within the department; reorganized the digital filing system and physical media files (detailed list of b-roll, audio clips, agency work, and CDs/DVDs). Prepared contracts, presentations, sales reports, and sponsorship fulfillment reports. I communicated with internal departments (and Operations) for work orders; outsourced, negotiated, and contracted tradesmen & services. Managed corporate charity programs and sourced promotional swag for corporate gifting and street team giveaways.

Provided administrative support as an Executive Assistant to the President and Project Managers. Researched media channels and assigned media spend allocation. Organized work shops and public consultation events for real estate projects. Assisted Graphic Designer with production of print material (direct mail, e-blast copy, web material & updates, print ads, and brochure templates). Performed research work for future development projects in Victoria and the Okanagan to determine the demographics for both commercial and residential leases.

One of the fastest in tying balloons, I also managed 140 employees which included 10 supervisors. Facilitated hiring and training of employees; staff scheduling and fulfilled payroll duties. Handled all department guest relations efficiently and effectively - ensuring to maintain guests’ satisfaction. Primarily oversaw daily operations within the department and ate copious amounts of mini doughnuts.
