For our Gastronomy business unit I provided employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics.I managed all administrative aspects of the entire employee life cycle for approx. 100 staff. This included preparing contracts of employment, amendments to contracts, transfers, salary increase letters, labor council communication, working on employment law issues etc. I prepared and oversaw payroll processes and ensured that our HR database was up to date, accurate and complied with legislation.Furthermore I was in charge of the company's candidate management. After screening incoming applications, I contacted candiates to answer any open questions, forwarded promising candidates to managers and organized interviews.

Ichtershausen

I was processing paperwork that had accumulated in the HR department due to rapid growth of the company.I have become familiar with SAP HR3, had written lots of letters of recommendation and updated other essential administrative documentation, relieving my coworkers.I helped prepare payroll and supported the local HR Business Partner by reviewing presentations and creating process documents.As part of my Master's thesis I have revised the process of reviewing apprentices throughout their training, dafted new review forms and reengineered the process. This helped ensure that apprentices learn all practical skills necessary for a smooth transition to a full timme position.

Berlin

I have always been intersted in fixing things with a hands-on attitude and therefore focused my Bachelor's thesis on assessing and reengineering the company's HR marketing activities to attract more suitable candidates for their apprenticeship positions. I drafted a new HR marketing concept and systematized applicant management processes, cutting the response-time between first contact to letter of acceptance/rejection by 64%.As a part-time working student I also communicated with external marketing and publishing agencies, participated in recruitment events and interviews and supported the HR department in administrative matters. As a lover of data I enjoyed decoding and evaluating the masses of HR related monthly and year-end data before transforming them into simple yet conclusive presentations for board and CEO.

Schwäbisch Gmünd

At the time Bosch Automotive Steering (formerly: ZFLS) was building a new factory in China. The future line workers came to our plant to learn and practice on the machines they would be working on in the future.Within the HR project management department I organized and kept track of all their trainings and acted as their first contact for issues of everyday relevance. Through weekend activities I helped them get to know the German culture and the surrounding area.As part of my role I acquired and set up additional accommodation, organized transportation and helped in adminstrating visa as well as resident and work permits, often under time-pressure.Through developing and implementing a tailored interview guide for German-Chinese translator positions, conducting interviews and choosing the right candidates, my colleague and I contributed strongly to the positive learning outcome of the Chinese trainees.In charge of cost-controlling the trainee program I communicated both regularly with the Chinese plant's HR managers and local project leaders in other departments.With dozens of international staff working at the local plant for shorter and longer periods at a time, I revised, improved and expanded a process document for moving in and out of company housing.
