-Strategic planning of communications strategies for two separate departments within ISU College of Engineering and ISU College of Agriculture and Life Sciences-Leader of multimedia initiatives including podcasts, new social media content and electronic publications-Content manager for an audience of more than 17,000 alumni, 200+ faculty and staff and more than 2,000 students

In carrying out Carrie Chapman Catt’s work to educate voters and involve citizens—especially women—in the political process, the center:-Offers leadership development and mentoring opportunities to ISU students interested in politics, public service and women’s issues through the Legacy of Heroines scholarship program;-Fosters research on issues related to women and politics through the Archives of Women’s Political Communication, annual Carrie Chapman Catt Prize for Research on Women and Politics, and studies conducted by center staff and students;-Brings prominent women leaders, national and international scholars, and political activists and practitioners to campus for lectures, programs and seminars through the Mary Louise Smith Chair in Women and Politics and in collaboration with other programs with a focus on women’s leadership, women and politics, and women’s issues; and-Encourages women and men to pursue careers in politics, public administration and public service through the Ready to Run® Iowa campaign training program and by hosting the visits of local, state, national and international leaders who serve as mentors and role models.

More than 500 members benefit from exposure, networking and becoming a part of a unified voice on business issues. The Chamber provides programs that help area businesses grow, expand and locate in Ames.

-Create press releases and custom marketing materials for internal and external communications in the Ames and Des Moines areas.-Plan and execute website marketing and maintenance of 21 websites.-Consistently interact with clients on a daily, weekly and monthly basis answering questions, sending feedback, supplying information and statistics, fulfilling customer requests, designing and administering direct mailers.
