My role takes place in the Immigrant Foster Care program for Unaccompanied Children that enter through the border and Refugee Children that are fleeing war. I develop and oversee the systems and processes to receive, ensure safety, provide services and reunite with family as quickly and effectively as possible. At Bethany, we believe in keeping family together.

As the Program & Engagement Manager I oversee the Educate and Enrich programs, as well as, work with corporate and community partners and hundreds of volunteers to make amazing things happen for children in foster care.

In my role as Program Specialist, I managed the Educate program and developed an education volunteer program, Power Learners. My focus is program management, volunteer management, reporting and stats, and the getting foster youth to graduation. I’m addition, I manage the organization’s social media accounts.

Children in the foster care system tend to move around A LOT. According to stats, this generally causes them to be two letter grades behind and makes them feel disconnected from a thriving childhood. As the program coordinator, I serve in the Educate program which provides educational services to over 400 students. My role involves coordination, data analysis, vendor relations and providing opportunities for children to take a hold of their education despite their obstacles.

ReEmployAbility’s return-to-work program connects employers and non-profit organizations to provide light duty opportunities, in an effort to give the injured worker time to heal while maintaining income and dignified work.

On one hand, our goal is to provide resources and job-readiness training to active job seekers, better preparing them to secure gainful employment. However, in doing so, we are equally committed to developing a strong and reliable source of talent from which Central Florida employers can interview and possibly select to meet their staffing needs.
