Career background in Bonding and Insurance with years of experience as an agent and a company underwriter/manager. My relationship with Tonry Insurance Group dates back to 1989 when I began my surety career. From there I joined CNA Surety as an underwriter then underwriting manager. I returned to Tonry in 2013 to manage all accounting, human resources, and other "back-office" responsibilities for Tonry Insurance Group, trained my successor and returned to managing the bond department, working on business development while retaining human resources. Particularly known for leadership, creativity, organizational skills, and customer relations.While raising my children, I held several executive positions with volunteer organizations dealing with education and children with special needs. Through these positions I gained experience with bookkeeping, budgeting, fundraising, event planning and presenting.My experience raising a child with special needs created my vision for Parlerai - an Augmentative Collaboration service combining social networking, touch screen technology, augmentative communication, consumer driven services and Cloud Computing to benefit children with special needs. The idea was a bit ahead of the social networking curve and our marketing results fell short of our goals. The company was closed in 2013.
