Serve as a member of the Board of Directors and chair of the Governance Committee

I led a newly organized external communications, corporate giving, and partnerships team reporting directly to DentaQuest's first Chief Marketing Officer. Through strategic philanthropy, national and local partnership development, effective crisis communications/issues management, and creative brand storytelling my team elevated the DentaQuest brand as a leading voice in oral health. Our work focused on building a stronger, more resilient brand reputation.

Promoted to lead a highly collaborative and nimble Public Affairs team responsible for developing and executing DentaQuest's strategy to improve oral health for 24 million people across the US. My responsibilities included developing and executing DentaQuest's state and federal government relations strategy, defining organizational public policy priorities, market development and strategic philanthropy activities, reputation management, and media engagement.

My responsibilities included the execution of the organization's government relations strategy and management of relationships with contract lobbyists in 10+ states. I also developed and implemented a federal advocacy and health care reform strategy in support of the organization's evolving business needs. I served as the SME for all legislative and regulatory changes resulting from the Affordable Care Act. I was promoted in Dec 2013 to an expanded management role.
