Kristin Lindell is an experienced educator who has worked for private schools and community organizations. She holds her MA and her Bachelor of Education, with a specialty in Community Arts Education.Kristin believes in empowering and engaging students with innovative approaches weaving arts and social justice into education.Kristin is a Vocalist, Composer and Music Facilitator with over 15 years experience teaching and performing. She released "Overflowing," a Roots CD that received airplay on CBC Radio. She has performed at festivals and venues in Toronto and Vancouver. Workshop facilitation for TDSB Creates, Royal Conservatory of Music's Learning Through the Arts program in over 60 classrooms, specializing in weaving music, dance and drama into curricular areas. She has been a Choral Conductor at Common Thread chorus, the Music Project and also at Crofton House, Linden School. She has taught voice at Centennial College, Vancouver School Board and the Academy of Music and White Rock School of Music in BC. She currently teaches singing at Centennial College and facilitates workshops for Toronto District Schools.Specialties: Elementary Education, Music, Dance and Drama. Songwriting, innovative improvisation and gospel, World music, conducting choirs, composing choral and Roots/Jazz Music, performing as a Jazz vocalist.
