The mission of the Honorary Commanders Program is twofold; one, to educate key communityleaders about a unit’s mission and to foster a supportive relationship with the community,increase military involvement in civic endeavors and organizations and make members of thelocal community feel part of the unit. The Air Force has a responsibility to establish and maintain personal contact with localcivic leaders in order to increase public awareness of the missions, policies, and programsof the United States Air Force and an understanding of the Department of Defense. Thegoal is to partner with members of the local community while exposing them to themissions of the armed services. The Honorary Commander's Program is an Air Forceprogram that can be used to meet this objective and the intent is to create one-on-oneopportunities to inform and educate local community leaders about the missions of theUnited States Air Force and your Air Force Base

As the Senior Sales Manager at the Crowne Plaza Charleston, I assist the Director of Sales with the achievement of our team goals while also focusing on the Corporate Markets that I am responsible for. I am passionate about building long lasting relationships in order to exceed my goals in the Corporate Transient and Corporate Group markets. I'm proud to be part of a team that believes we can be successful while having fun! We enjoy implementing creativity and being outside of the box in our sales approach!

As the opening Director of Sales, I was responsible for the pre-opening sales efforts and ramp up period to get the hotel to a place where it was meeting & exceeding it's goals. The Aloft was an emerging brand at the time and it was an absolute pleasure to introduce to the Charleston Market! As a brand that appealed to the next generation of sassy and savvy business travelers, it taught me a lot about having fun, being unique and letting your personality shine in business! During my time at Aloft, I'm proud to say we achieved and surpassed our revenue goals.

Fresh out of college, my years spent at the Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort taught me the importance of giving guests extraordinary, memorable and unique experiences at a five star level. No guest request was too high and there was no length we weren't encouraged to go in order to WOW them! I'm proud to still carry this mentality with me. I'm extremely thankful to have been part of the team that achieved the honor of earning the hotel's first Forbes 5 Star Award in 2008!
