I am the Digital Content Manager at WMBF News in the Myrtle Beach market, where I currently manage a digital team. Not only do we produce content for the WMBF News website but we also come up with new and innovative ways to increase engagement on social media platforms and use new digital technologies to get stories out to the Grand Strand and Pee Dee communities. I have been involved in the communications industry throughout college and in my professional career. I started my career at WSOC-TV in Charlotte where I held various positions as an Action 9 researcher, Associate Producer, Senior Producer and a Digital Content Producer. This is where I established my “don’t stop until the job gets done” work ethic, sharpened my communication and writing skills, learned to pay attention to detail and excelled under strict deadlines.I left TV news for a brief period and became the Chief Digital Strategist at The Idea People where I created digital marketing strategies for clients. My duties included creating compelling content for clients' websites, using SEO strategies to increase a client's presence in search engines, research digital marketing and social media trends to drive potential clients to their business, create PPC campaigns on Google Adwords and Bing Ads and use Google Analytics to identify pain points on clients' websites and fix them to drive more sales. I also earned a Google Ads certification during my time in this position. Community work is also important to me. I was a board member for the Charlotte Auburn Alumni Club where our number one goal is to build a $25,000 endowment fund so we can send a Charlotte-area student to Auburn University.Specialties: Writing, copy editing, Lakana web program, WordPress web platform, Microsoft Word Platforms, Adobe Photoshop, basic HTML knowledge, Adobe Analytics, Crowdtangle, Shareablee, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, WordPress, Hootsuite, SocialFlow, Canva, Google Adwords, Bing Ads
