Being a student assistant in Calculus gave me the opportunity to improve my teaching skills and proficiency in explaining complex problems.

During six weeks as a summer intern at Accenture our team developed a show case tablet application and an excel tool. The tablet application was designed to present government forms in a simple and intuitive way, and the excel tool to calculate the added value such applications can provide through reducing the time counselors spend assisting applicants in filling out forms. Through this internship I learned basic consultant skills interviewing clients and using excel, VBA programming, pyramid principle and PowerPoint.

In 2011 I worked as a part of the team selling and collecting tickets during the UKA festival. Through working in a large team of volunteering students I learned about the value of creating a team spirit to ensure that all team members are motivated to perform their best, particularly when being a volunteer.

09-10 Vision responsible08-09 Web responsibleESTIEM is the European student society for Industrial economics and management, providing a network for IEM students across Europe. ESTIEM NTNU is the Norwegian local group in Trondheim, and its board consists of ten people organizing several international events each year. Vision is a Europe-wide series of seminars organized annually with a general theme and with subtopics decided by the organizers in different universities. The topic of the Trondheim seminar in 2009-10 was “Communication Solutions of Tomorrow”. Each Vision seminar has around 20-30 participants and contains a balanced mixture of academic lectures, workshops and cultural activities over five days. By being responsible for this seminar I gained valuable leadership experience through getting the board to work as a team and delivering a successful event that achieved an evaluation score of 4, 5 out of 5 from the participants.

UKA is Norway’s largest student festival, organized biannually by 1500 volunteering students. During UKA 09 I was a part of the sales team selling advertisement and giving companies the opportunity to present themselves for the students in Trondheim.
