Hr Generalist
La Vergne, Tennessee, Us
HR Generalist providing Human Resources support at Ingram’s newest 3PL facility in Antioch, TN. The new 300k sq. ft. facility was added to support the used college textbook division. I was the primary HR contributor for this project including tasks such as recruiting, workforce management, employment law and company compliance, designing/managing the onsite staffing agency program, liaison between operations and support departments. The final workforce headcount included 75 Ingram associates and up to 1, 000 staffing agency associates based on peak season volume provided by three staffing agencies with full onsite support. Prior to supporting the new facility, I was an HR Generalist supporting Ingram’s manufacturing facilities and distribution centers internationally. My job responsibilities as an HR Generalist included serving as a point of contact for Operations managers, supervisors, associates, and staffing agency representatives. I was also responsible for consulting with the senior management team in the delivery of recruiting/staffing, employment administration, effective employee relations, and benefit program administration while complying with federal/state regulations related to EEO, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, and AAP. Additionally, I was a primary contributor and leader on various cross-functional efficiency teams supporting company objectives resulting in an improved customer (internal/external) experience. Such projects included execution of selection and implementation for new Applicant Tracking System, design and training for defined FMLA/STD/ADAAA process and procedures, migrating current intranet to SharePoint platform, and HR/Payroll system upgrades. Additionally, I supported the collective bargaining team that successfully ratified the collective agreement for the Coutts Canada operation in 2012.
