Hello! Thanks for reading my summary! I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development. I am Orton-Gillingham trained and I have an ESOL endorsement. I have over 16 years of experience in Title I public and charter schools. In my current position at Atlanta Public Schools, I oversee training students in accordance with state standards, Atlanta Public School’s requirements, and my school’s policies and procedures. I also plan and implement cultural experiences for children. Additionally, I evaluate instructional effectiveness, modify services according to student needs, and generate and discuss new ideas for improving student success which ultimately improves the district's success. In addition to these tasks, I assess the needs of students and provide support, encouragement, and guidance to students, other team members, and parents as necessary. I prepare and submit reports and statistical data when necessary to comply with federal and state laws. Lastly, I consistently accomplished other duties and assignments requested by my principal or other district officials before or by set deadlines. Below are some notable contributions, examples, and highlights from my experience and credentials that demonstrate some of my accomplishments and abilities:§ Conceptualized and planned Atlanta Heights Charter School’s first winter, Thanksgiving, and kindergarten promotion program.§ Conceptualized, planned, and taught Morningside Elementary School’s first new hire workshop focused on informing and preparing new hires to understand performance expectations and how to reach those expectations. Additionally, the workshop helped new employees understand, navigate, and comply with the school's culture, expectations, organization structure, and interpersonal relationships.
